Paws [Piano] Piano

This solo by W. T. Skye Garcia has playful lyrics and a melody that is in an easy singing range for elementary students. It describes musically all the fun that is found in visiting an animal shelter and picking out a new pet. The melody is divided between the hands and harmonic seconds and thirds imitate the meows and woofs of cats and dogs. The optional teacher duet accompaniment provides harmonic interest and a steady rhythmic background.
