The Vandall sound is evident, and the slight modal flair (G mixolydian) adds to the charm of the piece. Both parts are equal in difficulty and contain such elements as syncopation, accents, staccato, and blocked chords. Written in 4/4 meter, the sixteenth note passages are divided between the hands and create a fun visual effect as well.
